The Sunderland City Council and BAI Communications partnership launch was held in Sunderland in October 2021.

Studio Blackburn were tasked with creating a unique event to announce and celebrate this significant step forward for digital connected infrastructure across the city of Sunderland.

The event utilised an 8 x 4.5m LED screen, and was entered through a light-controlled sound tunnel. Studio Blackburn scripted and choreographed the entire event for 100+ people which included environmental graphics, animated typography and effects, logistics as well as an event film focussing on positive use cases that this type of digital infrastructure has already provided.

The project was received rapturously, a testament to the collaborative process that Sunderland City Council pursue, and to the potential that a future-focussed organisation like BAI Communications can bring.
